That's all folks ...

I know it wasnt like my London trip - but I had a great time and loved living in an old city for two weeks. I highly recommend going to Lipari or any of the Aeolian islands.

Milazzo y Palermo

Instead of taking the 4 hour boat ride back to Palermo - we opted to take an hour boat ride (the really awesome boat on skiis) to Milazzo and then a 4 hr train ride from Milazzo to Palermo. I am not sure which I would prefer doing again. The train was late (typical) and crowded (also typical).

I have to admit the first night I was quite jaded with the 11 hrs in Roma airport - that I really didn't care to venture around Palermo. By the time we got to Palermo we had enough time to find some dinner and go to bed (we had to be up at 4am - again to head to the airport). But we walked through some of the piazzas and it's actually quite nice.

Mom and I were saddened by this building. As strange as it sounds - we prefer the beat up / run down look to the new improved portion of the building.
